SUNDAY NOVEMBER 1st 2009

I am pleased to say - IT WAS GREAT!!!

Once again we had a tremendous Beatle Day. The Derbyshire Hotel was a great venue, with a great music room. The music! well what can I say? Rubber Soul just get better all the time!

Mark James put his heart and soul into another great solo performance,

and BEATLES EXPERIENCE were astounding - nobody enjoys playing the Beatles more than these guys.

We even had a last minute extra band! Ian Watts came along with his band Cavern99 and gave us a half hour of Paul McCartney.

The new 'SING WITH THE BEATLES' spot was great! about a dozen people went to the mike and gave it there all with the LIVE backing of The BEATLES EXPERIENCE - what an experience!

Thanks to all the brave souls who had a go, you all deserved a prize, but we only had two!

Of course there was lots of things to buy too, I even put a couple of tables of my own stuff out, thanks to all who looked and esp. those who bought.

Star of the day was Dave the Rave who stepped in last minute to fill Phil Matthews shoes. Dave did a great job, in fact so good I might sack Phil!!!

Made some good new contacts, Rick and Chris, who are not only going to come and play for free next year but also publicise the event!
